This week's Sneak Peek takes a look at the bastion of local small business everywhere, the Chamber of Commerce.
One of the first things people ask when someone says they're having a hard time finding networking opportunities is, "have you tried the Chamber of Commerce?"
It doesn't matter if you live in a small town or a big city, all across America there is one constant when it comes to small business and that is the Chamber of Commerce. With networking events before & after work, lunch & learns, and member spotlights your local chamber is a one-stop shop for all of your business networking needs.
In addition to networking, many Chambers of Commerce can help you with:
In case you haven't looked at the Chamber of Commerce in a while, I'm including links to a few of the chambers in and around Manchester.
Of the group, the Greater Derry Londonderry and the Greater Nashua Chambers seem to have the most on-going programs and activities, but I suspect that it has more to do with a dedicated staff person keeping the events calendar current than a lack of events in Manchester or Hooksett.
I know it's a little out of the Manchester metro area, but I want to give a shout out to this month's Plaistow Area Commerce Exchange Luncheon from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 8th at the Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lande, Haverhill, MA. Happy Friday Everyone!
As we wrap up May and head into the first week of June I want to remind you that I am always looking for pod guests.
Guest spots run in 15 - 30-minute segments and are a great way to establish yourself as a local expert and share information about your business or industry.
The format is pretty laid back. We start with a topic and a list of questions and let the conversation flow. A lot of laughs, a lot of information and a lot of fun.
If you would like to join me on an episode of Live from the Hive drop me a line at email@example.com.
Have a great week people!
